Hi and welcome to my blog,

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!

My fiance took the asvab and scored a 32 when he needed a 50 to enlist. We are trying to look for a tutor but have had no luck. I was wondering if a sat prep class teaches similar stuff to the problems on the ASVAB. He needs help on math and english parts of the test. And the asvab study books are not what we are looking for.

psh. the asvab isn’t that tough. have him speak to his recruiter. my recruiter went over the asvab with me twice and i got a 73 and became an avionics technician

Yea. I took the SAT and SAT prep class in high school (2006). I took the ASVAB this past aug. Most of the math and english questions on the test are similar or easier than most SAT questions.

  • TC says:

The math and science parts might help, but the ASVAB doesn’t test your knowledge obscure vocabulary words that are popular in prep schools but not used by the general public.

for me the most difficult on that test was the mechanical and electronic info… math also. there are many books in your local library that will help him better prepare for the asvab.

  • wraeth says:

Probably not. The SAT deals with more advanced college level stuff than the ASVAB covers. The ASVAB is more of a common sense knowledge test and is at an 8th grade level.
