Why does art school use Mac instead of Windows?

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.

I notices a lot of art schools use mac, and I was wondering should I buy a mac laptop since I’m going to a art school.

The reasan that a lot of art schools, publishers, and design houses use Macs is because they offer the best color matching experience for the designer. This means that, when I design, I can be pretty much sure that the colours I output for the screen, are the same as the ones that I’ll get back on printed media from the printers or from the printer in my office. Of course, colour is *really* important for designers, and as an artist, you’ll know that even a tiny change in colour can make or break your work.
I think, though, that you should also contact the Art School that you’re going to attend. They’ll have advice on laptops and can usually offer you discounts laptops and software for them too (sometimes, they can even give you the software free!)
So give them a ring, and find out what is the best choice for you!
