which SAT test prep. book would you recommend?
I went to barnes and nobles the other day…and i first took a look at THE OFFICIAL STUDY GUIDE to the sat and it gives out test prep. but it doesn’t explain the answer.
I also took at look at Barron and it was similar to KAPLAN….
i heard that Barron is more advance than what the SAT actually is…
Kaplan on the other hand it "underpreparing" as stated by others..
but i am considering Kaplan because it’s easy to follow..and the version that i saw had a CD which includes SAT coaching sessions from "Mel Robbins"
anyways..give me your opinions…?

I’d go with Gruber’s actually.
I’ve had experience with Barron’s, and The Official Study Guide, released by The College Board, and I didn’t like either.
I’ve seen the Princeton Review, too, and it was alright, but I did like Gruber’s better. To be honest, I haven’t looked at Kaplan, though I do have a SAT prep CD by them, and i don’t really like it. hahaha.
I’d go with Gruber’s. It’s a really big book, but it helps a lot.
kaplan is great and all - but here’s my review on these books
KAPLAN is good for people who know what they’re doing - these wont teach you much, they’re just reviews.
PRINCETON REVIEW will teach someone who doesnt know a subject, then get him/her to do well on the exam - it’s not just reviews.
I choose PRINCETON REVIEW over KAPLAN
The best books to study are The College board’s official SAT study guide and "Answers and Explanations" by Peter Tanguay.
Answers and explanations has the solutions to the 8 sample SAT tests in the official SAT study guide. Good luck!
