Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
I have the old Official College board study guide but i just found out a second edition just came out. Should i get the new one?is it worth it? I have also heard about the Princeton Review study guide and Kaplan study guide. Which one is better?
I’m not sure if i should take SAT classes. I know they are helpful but they are expensive. I was thinking about the Kaplan SAT Classroom…
Should i just study with the books or try and go to a class? Thank You for your advise.
PRINCETON REVIEW IS OVERALL AMAZING! My scores went escalating once I used the Princeton Review book. There math tips really were extremely effective for me, and I learned tremendously from the vocabulary list they supply you. You should invest in a tutor (private is even better). They are life coaches, and I still use mine as a tutor and I’m in college. I loved Princeton Review!
I used a private tutor and he was extremely helpful but also fairly expensive. Classes are good but whether or not they are the right choice for you is based off of your financial situation. If money isn’t an issue than go for it or consider hiring a private tutor for all of your needs (i only had a few sessions with mine because I only needed help on a few math subsections). I would definitely buy the new official SAT book and if you find you need additional practice tests I would be careful. Kaplan and other knock-offs often just try to make a quick buck off of the SAT’s work and aren’t that helpful as they aren’t made by the official test makers and can’t help you out with the little tricks the test makers hide. If, however, you find you need more help Grubbers makes a good math section and the Princeton Review has a good vocab list. Good luck
