Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
I’m going to be taking my first SAT test this year. and I want to prepare for it.
If you have been down this road, please tell me which Prep Book/ Review book helped you the most? Where do I find a good book with SAT words? Any and all suggestions are much appreciated. I really want to get a 1270 or more to get bright futures (florida scholarship).
Thanks in advance.
Personally, I recommend Kaplan. Their study book worked very well for me, improving my scores in reading, math, and writing! Kaplan’s SAT prep book has a very helpful section on improving your score on the impromptu essay part something I stressed over a lot, so I really appreciated it. It also has a great SAT vocabulary review, which you seem to be looking for.
Aside from my personal recommendation though, you should really find what works best for you. Go to a bookstore that has a variety of brands (Kaplan, The Princeton Review, and Barron’s are some of the most popular) and browse through them all to get a general feel of what they’re like. Read some of the tips and tricks. Try a few of the sample problems. Odds are, one of the brands will stand out as the best fit for your personal studying style.
Good luck on the SAT!
