Which brand or type of laptops are the best?

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
I want to buy a new laptop. I want use this laptop for school work, graphing and lots of multimedia. I would like to know what laptops are good for this, but my budget is only of 800 dollars. So please help me because i have only had desktops and don’t know a lot about laptops.

well i have a $400 Toshiba Satellite for a year and it works great.
Dell also has a really nice line of laptops which i was browsing and they sell them for around 800
i would also recommend a sony vaio. there really nice and youll be able to afford it
you cant go wrong with HP
Try IBM. I like it very well and I have one.
I don’t know abt your budget since we might be from different countries and all.
You can try ASUS, HP or Fujitsu. Get more RAM since you’ll be doing graphics i guess. And of course a slightly better graphics card, preferably NOT a integrated one.
If you can afford an Apple computer then I would recommend that but if not then try a HP Pavilion.
According to a tech I spoke with recently, he said Toshibas come in the least for repair among popularly-priced machines. If price is no object, he said IBM is the best. Personally, I just purchased a Toshiba L350 S 7812, apparently only available from Best Buy. It has the 17" swcreen, 5550 Intel Chip, 3 gig RAM and 200 gig hard drive, all for under $800. After 4 days, so far, so good.
I have been surprised to see Acer climb high. It used to be one of the worst
i have a Dell laptop and its very nice and easy to work with. and dell is a good company too. i think the dell is good, i use it for school work esc. and things like that so i think Dell is a good choice. good luck
I guess your budget is good enough to just get what you need…..
i would suggest something of this configuration:
processor core2duo 1.6 – 1.8GHZ is good(if u hav money left over, upgrade it)
2GB RAM
128MB NVDIA graphic accelerator is good(bcoz u say u hav a lot of multimedia work to do) (if affordable try 256MB)
14" screen–preferably widescreen
hard disc—doesnt matter whatever size it be,…u can always use external hard disc’s–80-120 GB should be good without hurting your pocket
hav a inbuilt webcam…..comes for 20-30$ extra…but worth it
the above config must be 700-800 i believe…
brand is a trade off……laptops of any brand work!!!…obviously if u go for very good names like IBM lenova or apple…they r very costly…..
I always found DELL a good deal…for the cost paid and what u get…….treat it well…it will last long!
IBM , Good notebook computers, i have one, feel good!
But it is little expensive. And you will find the laptop batteries are expensive too, i ever want to buy a original battery, so i found it’s dear.(lol)
Of course, the replacement laptop batteries are cheap than original batteries.
