Where should I go for SAT Prep class?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
I need help on deciding where to go for SAT prep classes. I am currently a junior in High School and when I took the SAT in December I scored a 1570 on it. After seeing this I realized that I couldn’t study alone and that I need help.
My original plan was to attend Elite’s summer boot camp which is ,200 (which is overpriced IMO). Friends tell me that all they do there is give you a crap load of work and test and expect you to do good on the SAT after that. My friend has the same GPA as me and got the same exact score on the SAT and after taking this course he achieved over 2000.
On the other hand I’ve heard things about Revolution Prep. They are much cheaper and they don’t give you a lot of stuff to do, but rather techniques and strategies to beat the SAT. I’ve only heard from one person that he was able to get 1900 after taking a 6 week course.
I need your suggestions on which of these I should go to, or any other test prep classes for the summer. Please don’t give me links to goggle searching "SAT Prep Classes" I can do that myself. Also please do not say "SAT Prep Courses are a waste of money, don’t do them" because your not contributing to my question.
I’m not going to tell you: do this prep. I’ll tell you about the difference in the two prep methods you mentioned. The SAT is a timed test. TIme management is a big thing on the SAT. Practise does help, but you need to know certain strategies. The Elite’s test will work for people who are capable of figuring out for themselves what strategies and skills they need, and it’ll just give them the practise they need to fine tune the ideas THEY ALREADY HAVE for the test. If you do have such strategies in mind and just need practise, then go for Elite’s
However, if you are the kind of person who needs to be told about the skills and strategies needed for the test, then you certainly should go for revolution prep. Ultimately, it’s up to you. I’m just giving you an insight into the matter.
In my opinion, though, you should try to get a one-to-one teacher who will show you about the ropes for the SAT and will recommend books you can practise from. Remember, practice forms a big part of the SAT. You improve a lot if you practise. ANd you need to get used to the test conditions and the timing, etc. Your teacher doesn;t need to be a hot-shot prep pro. It can even be some senior who will give you some good advice, a parent, a neighbour or even a friend. You could also ask some of your school teachers to see if they have any advice.
Good Luck!
I cannot recommend a place for you to take SAT prep classes but do not necessarily accept how good on course is based on the performances of two students that you know. Ask your guidance counselor for recommendations./
