when should i take an SAT prep course/start studying for the SATs?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
so theres this SAT prep program thats going to be happening at my school. and its for free and stuff. it runs from october to december so i’d be takin the spring ones. however, im just a little concerned that i might not be able to remember what i learned. they’re offering the same program in the spring but i dont know if i’d be able to do it then. i’m a junior and i want to take the SATS as many times as i can, lol.
so what do you think i should do? wait until spring to do the program or do it now?
My school offers prep course, too, and it cost 40 dollars last year and 25 this year.
Freshman year, I took the PSAT prep course, and this year, I’m taking the ACT prep course. If you’re a junior, then you definitely should take the practice course (in the ACT prep course, I’m the only sophomore in my class; everyone else is a junior or a senior, and it’s about 50-50). I’d do it now, especially if it’s free. If you’re a junior, you probably should have started studying a year or two ago.
You should start now…SATs are big and you have to get used to the format.
Check out http://WWW.BUBBABRAIN.COM to study SAT vocabulary. They have 60 interactive SAT games on that website. Building up your vocabulary is important.
How to use bubbabrain
Select a grade level on the left hand menu, and click on it.
Select the subject, and click on the subject drop-down arrow.
Select a word set from the drop-down menu and click submit at the bottom of the page.
The top left box will say “find this” and a definition will be listed below. Click on the term that matches the definition. A new definition will appear, and you must find the new definition.
Continue until you have cleared the rest of the board.
FREE SAT prep program????Can’t go wrong with that, do it both. If you can, you should really get your hands on the study book, if your free prep sessions give you one that’s great. I recommend the College Board version, since College Board is the one administering the SATs. Albeit it’s a little pricey, but it’s definitely worth buying, or borrow it from your public/school’s library. Get the newest version.
I would definately take the free course at your school…if you wait to long the courses outside of school get expensive (aeround 500 dollars) it definately worth it
Do them both
I think you should do it now,and to remember what you learned, buy some SAT prep books to keep you busy and prepared
No worries the SAT prep will give you the skills to study on your own and the best way to take the test. It’s not too early you may not remember everything but you’ll remember the more important stuff.
It would be better if you check out a SAT book from a public library. Then you can keep it until spring and study it. it will help you get better and it will be a good review.
