Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
Im just curious. Is it really hard the first time around? or are they just exaggerating, imagine alot of books, CD’s, vocabulary guides, preparation schools in the market right now. Internet is full of SAT stuffs.
I only took it once because I felt that it wasn’t something worth taking again. I got a 700 on the math and 630 on the critical reading. So thats 1330. You don’t have to be super smart to do well but you have to be trained. For help in training for the SAT’s go to http://www.collegeboard.com
I’m sad to say that I scored a horrible 810. When I took it again, I only scored 840! Thank goodness I had a great GPA or no college would have accepted me (except I.U. maybe).
I scored a 1430 the one and only time I took the SAT. However, I had also taken the PSAT and ACT prior to this, and used a store-bought SAT prep guide/sample test, so I didn’t go to the test site cold. I would strongly recommend taking at least one sample test, if for no other reason than to get accustomed to the format of the questions and to see how long it takes you to finish.
I took a course called Testmasters… really expensive, like $700, but it was pretty worth it. I scored a 2220. I wanted at least a 2300+, but I don’ t think I’m going to take it again.
Yes they do. I got 2 perfect scores in math and reading, but my writing score was only 720, for a total of 2320. I only read this SAT guide, and that is how I got such high scores:

I recommend this guide to anyone seeking to get a higher score to get into a first choice college.
