Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
I was going to get "Cracking the SAT" or "college board Official SAT guide" but i heard from people that they are both incomplete and have many errors. They also have low ratings on Barnes & Nobles. Any other suggestions?
The collegeboard book is good. The biggest disadvantage to this book is that each test has an answer key, but no explanations, so if you’re working alone it can be difficult to figure out why an answer is right.
My favorite book for reviewing content and strategy is the McGraw Hill SAT 2009 book. There are very few types, very comprehensive content review, solid strategies, and good advice for how to study for the test.
My favorite book of practice tests is the Princeton Review 11 SATs. I’m not a huge fan of Princeton Review’s strategies, but they write great practice tests – very close to the real thing.
The combination of the McGraw Hill and then 11 SATs has been very successful for my students. If you have someone to help you with tough problems, the collegeboard book is a good resource as well (especially for scored sample essays).
Hope that helps!
the college board book is good and the Barrons one is good too
