What would be the best psat/sat study guide book?
Browse the site to learn more about psat prep course, gmat prep exam, act preparation classes, college board sats and more

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
I’m just curious to know. I have been looking through different ones and I feel that the college board study guide is the most sufficient because they create the test, but I want some analysis from past psat/sat takers and see what helped them get their highest scores.
Great question, but I think it comes down to what learning style the individual has.
CollegeBoard is the best all around b/c the test questions are from the actual test writers, but I don’t much care for their strategy or advice – it’s too general for my taste. I prefer specific strategies to the test rather than a math or reading lesson.
A website I recommend to a lot of folks is http://www.MyStudentEdge.com (you have to register as a new student using access code: XULGFRAD). The reason I like this study tool is because the course molds itself to the individual user by doing a diagnostic test. Based off its results, the course loads tailor made to the strengths and weakness of that student. That way, I spend time specifically targeting my weaknesses with proven strategies.
I used a book from an ACT Prep class I had, but it is for both the SAT and ACT. It has ETM written and than Preparation Course for the SAT and ACT College Entrance Exams. It is by Barbara Budinger, M.Ed. Educational Testing Methods, Inc.
i used a couple (princeton review, kaplan, collegeboard) and concluded the collegeboard was the best.
