What SAT Reasoning Test Prep book should I get?
I am wondering what test prep book I should get for SAT I. I know College Board has its own book for SAT I, but it seems a bit outdated, if that matters or not. There are many others out there, so there is a wide range to choose from.
Also, I may need to work on my SAT I Vocabulary. It would be great to get a book that includes all parts in detail so that I don’t have to "juggle" between different guides, but I will not mind if necessary.
What’s the ISBN number for the SAT Lesson Book (Kaplan)?
Nevermind. I found the ISBN number.
One aspect that bugs me is that if I use CollegeBoard’s book, I am afraid that the guide will be biased as CollegeBoard is the one who administers the paid tests, disadvantaging the student? Are my fears ridiculous?

I’m taking the SATs in June, and I have a huge stack of those prep books, mostly hand-me-downs from siblings.
I have the following ones:
-The Official SAT Study Guide (CollegeBoard)
-SAT Lesson Book (Kaplan)
-SAT Raise Your Score (Even More) Handbook (Kaplan)
-The Big Purple Book of 8 Practice SATs
-and some others I haven’t even looked at yet.
The Kaplan SAT Lesson Book has been the most helpful for me so far, and it’s got a huge section on all of the vocabulary words. I would recommend that one.
The Raise Your Score handbooks haven’t been that helpful, it’s more just repeats of the Lesson Book.
But I would also recommend getting a book of lots of practice SATs and answers. The Official SAT Study Guide has 8 in it, but I haven’t actually looked at that book much either, the thickness of it scares me!!! I’ve just been practicing with the Big Purple Book, and I think it’s pretty good.
I would recommend not getting a bunch of different ones like I have because they mostly repeat each other anyway, so it’s pointless and a waste of money. Plus, chances are you won’t get through half of them considering their sizes.
Hope this has helped, and good luck with the test!!!
Go to your local bookstore and there are all sorts of SAT test prep books and someone who works there can help you find the most current and up to date prep book that you need.
Get any SAT I book that’s updated and that you think helps and has the vocabulary that you need to work on. Good luck on that. =P
