lol… you will be taking the same SAT II tests as I took. For Math IIC, definitely get Barron’s (7th edition). All the problems on Barron’s is very hard (much harder than the real test). But if you look over the whole review section and do all the 9 tests (if there is anything you don’t understand, make sure you understand it before the test ). One thing I should tell you is that personally I think the Barron’s explanation is quite confusing (trust me, you will get frustrated), but use your precalc note you took at school along with the Barron’s book. If you have question, first try to figure out yourself. If you can’t, do NOT hesitate to ASK someone (teachers, friends, parents etc.)
For US History. Use "United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination". by John J. Newman. It is a book for AP test but works for SAT II. Not many people know about this book and if you use this book you will have a big advantage over other people. It is long (novel size 600 pages) so plan your time well. You REALLY should buy this book. It is the best book ever for US His. exam. One of my friend did not even use her textbook. She just use this book throughout the year and got a A in her class and did pretty good on the test. You can get this book on amazon.com
For Biology, I used Princeton Review’s AP book. I think it is a very good book. I did well on the SAT II with this book. But you need to know pretty much everything (you need a good foundation) because the SAT II can ask anything. I took the ecology test, but I took a peek at the molecular one. I thought the molecular one is easier because I am good with photosynthesis, cellular resp, cell structures and those stuff. But the ecology test is not bad. There are easy questions on the ecology test such as food web. But I don’t know a lot about plant so I didn’t know some of the questions.
For SAT I. use college board book for practice test and I used priceton review and barron’s for extra exercises and review. Both are good.
for the SATI, i’ve heard kaplan’s is good.
for USH, a lot of my friends had the princeton review AP book and said it helped alot.
i don’t know about bio.
math II, nobody i know got a book for that. either you know the stuff or you don’t. it’s basic algII, trigonometry, precal stuff.
princeton hands down
