Hi and welcome to my blog,

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!

Hello. I’m looking at SAT prep classes because I wish to increase my score. I was thinking of getting a private tutor because I think I need the one-on-one attention or maybe a smaller class of like 4-8 students. I already took the Kaplan course and my score went up 200 points during the course, but on the actual test, it returned to the original score. So, I was wondering what is the best course? I was looking into Sylvan, Huntington, Revolution Prep, The Princeton Review, or just finding a tutor.

Any suggestions?

if you are highly motivated, i strongly recommand you to get a blue test book from collegeboard and study on your own.
I’ve been to Revolution prep and Princeton Review, both test preps are composed of teachers who are recent high school graduates and sometimes will get stuck on problems, so don’t go there if you are looking for a real teacher.
Kaplan is well known for its test prep books which are way too easy compared to the real test, so i guess that’s why your real score stayed the same

none. for great scores prepping must be done yourself, many rely on prep courses for an excuse and a way out for their bad scores. Go to eprep.com it is online but it gives you problems and thorough explanation.

The best way to increase your SAT score is with a guide or book. From my experience, the best preparation books were princeton review guide, and the tutorfox new sat guide. Used together, I increased my SAT score by about 200 points. Good luck, and please let me know if you have any more questions.
