What is a good SAT study guide?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
I’ve pretty much got the math down (although I want to practice more). But I would really like a book with good vocabulary and lots of hints for the verbal (CR) and writing sections. Also the same or another book with pleanty of practice. And if you have one that proved useful overall please do mention it. Thanks ahead of time.
I’ll add a vote for the College Board blue book for practice questions – you don’t want to use anything else for practice. But, it doesn’t give you much in the way of strategy, though, so you’ll want to invest in a study guide, and I’d also agree that the Princeton Review’s materials are good for strategy. None of these will do much for you vocabulary wise, though, so you’ll need something more for that. There are books out there, but my favorite is http://www.word-nerd.com – it’s absolutely the best thing out there for learning a lot of words quickly and efficiently. Good luck!
You should check out Princeton Review SAT books since they are highly recommended and my sister passed with that book. But this site should help you understand what to prepare for and you should also take the ACT too because its much easier since it only contains the level of math/english/science you achieved. http://www.sparknotes.com/testprep/
I would highly recommend the "Official SAT Study Guide" it is developed and published by College Board. It includes in depth analysis of both the Math and Critical Reading sections as well as the new Writing section. It includes 10 former tests for practice and has a discount for the online course at collegeboard.com. You can usually pick it up at a bookstore for $19.95.
Get the newest edition College Board study guide you can find. I mean, they are the ones that write the test.
I say here is what you do. If you want intense math practice get the SAT math 800 book, it helped me go from a 460 to a 670 on the SAT math (with intense practice).
I picked up the Barron’s Critical reading workbook to increase my critical reading from a 450 to a 620.
I just wrote a lot on Saturday mornings and had others grade my essay so my writing was a 650.
You may also want to get the SAT Official Study guide from Collegboard just for the practice tests and the Princeton Review Study guide (not the one that says cracking the SAT but the one that says 11 practice tests for the SAT).
You want to do the practice tests in the Princeton Review book first (since they are rough) and then do the ones in the collegeboard book since they are on the same difficulty level as the real SAT.
