Hi and welcome to my blog,

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!

Hi. I’m going into my senior year in high school. I’m interested in buying a laptop for the rest of school and into college. I primarily want to use it for school work, watching movies and videos, surfing the internet,and storing music and pictures. My price range is 0 or less. I also want to be able to carry it around easily. Does anyone have any recommendations. Thanks :)

    Well if you want one just for school buy a netbook, They are cheap and small. The most expensive ones are about 600. They are preety much like laptops but smaller. The only downside is that it doesnt have optical disc drive which means that if you want to put a disc in you have to buy the disc drive for about 50 bucks.

    Dell is currently running a discount on a handful of "back-to-school" laptops. You can check them out at http://www.retailmenot.com/out/1160487 . The three on that page are all suited for your needs. The $499 laptop will be able to do everything you want. The $599 one has a bigger hard drive (probably unnecessarily big for your needs), and a longer-lasting battery. The $699 laptop is slightly smaller, has a nicer video card (which shouldn’t really concern you, unless you plan on playing a lot of new video games on this thing), plus the bigger battery and hard drive.
    Dell brand laptops typically are pretty good. They have nice warranties, are relatively cheap, and tend to be quite durable.

    HP G70t is good one and right in your budget.

    I recommend you HP Pavilion DV5-1160US
    It bought it a few weeks ago, and it beat my old laptop by a long shot. I love this laptop. It is so great.
    Technical Details

    * 15.4-inch Diagonal WXGA High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display, 1280 x 800 resolution
    * 2.00 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor P7350 with 3MB L2 Cache
    * 4096MB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm), 320GB (5400RPM) Hard Drive (SATA), NVIDIA GeForce 9200M GS NB9M-GE with up to 2047MB total graphics memory with 256MB dedicated
    * LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD±R/RW with Double Layer Support, Intel WiFi Link 5100AGN
    * Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium, dims in inches: 14.05" (L) x 10.20" (D) x 1.37" (min H) in approx., 5.83 lbs

    I love it because it has an excellent look and finish. It’s easy to use, has very good amount of memory, good size hard drive. Battery could provide more time but they are getting better with the newer models of laptops. I would recommend this laptop to anyone. It’s light and I love the slide controls (and web cam, though I don’t use it much). The fan doesn’t seem to run at all, so I’m wondering if it’s a low powered, silent fan, that runs all the time. It’s quiet, so I take this as a plus. Don’t go with MAC they are way way overpriced, it’s a waste to pay so much money. I think you can install xp if you don’t like vista, although vista is not bad.
    The laptop I recommend you is perfect for your needs, believe me you can’t get better for this price. You can get in on Amazon cheap:
