What does the term "media test failure" mean?

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.

when trying to turn on a laptop. A black screen apears and says something about a boot agent and when i press enter it says "media test failutre". I’ve never used the laptop before…?
It doesn’t have a hard drive. I didn’t think that would be a problem.

It can mean a variety of thing, in your case could be the hard drive, did you get an error code with it?.
