Hi and welcome to my blog,

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!

I don’t care which are best are which aren’t, but can anyone name the different companies or names that are put on a lot of the books that are for SAT, SAT II, AP preparation, and college information?

I know of some, such as Barron’s, Collegeboard, Cliff’s, and the "Crack the [fill in the blank]" series, but what are others? Thanks.
which are best and which aren’t (told you my brain isn’t working)
i guess html doesn’t work here ><

I have found that Princeton Review, Barron’s, and College Board tend to be very informative guides and reviews.

    SAT:
Go with Collegeboard’s official practice test book; also grab Princeton Review (Cracking series) and Barron’s practice test book. Obviously, the official practice problems are the best.
For the most part, there are no so called "strategies", for students who already score above the 90th percentile anyways. (If you score below that, reading some strategy book might help)
If you are aiming for a 98/99th percentile score because you intent to go to a top 20 school, feel free to grab "Barron’s SAT 2400."

    SAT II:
Princeton Review and Barron are the two premier study guides. Princeton Review is pretty good; you can’t go wrong with it. Barron books are obnoxiously difficult; it goes into much more detail than the the SAT II require you to know. If you can do well in this book, you WILL get a 800.

    AP:
Just go with any study guide, in general they are pretty good. Also, AP scores play almost no weight in the admission process.

    College Info:
The internet is your best source; you shouldn’t need to pay for these books.

    Good luck

PS; do not bother with Cliff; but McGraw hill is pretty decent for ACT.
