Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
Please provide me a list of as many SAT prep courses in Houston, Texas that you can think of .
Thank you!
I know many people would recommend using books to prepare/on my own. However, I would prefer to take a course because it helps relieve my stress.
Have you taken the SAT yet? at least take a practice test out of

there have been several articles in the newspaper about how SAT courses are a scam. it’s something to keep in mind, they work for some but they definately aren’t for everybody
courses are geared to a specific type of student, those that are trying to get their scores around 600 in each section, if your above that they are not particularly useful, or if you are above that in math but not in reading or writing 1/3rd of the time spent in the class will be wasted and that should be kept in mind
craigslist is your friend

avoid at all cost the big name companies, classes should not cost hundreds or thousands of dollars, it is much better investment to work with a tutor who will help you with your individual strengths and weaknesses

The SAT company offers there own prep course http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/prep_one/prep_one.html
for 70 dollars it’s alot cheaper then some other options, and the book comes with a 10 dollar off coupon so it’s only 60
there are other online options available from private companies that you could investigate
your school or library might offer free classes so you should check with them
you go to the lobrary or booksotre and you get books and you do them
im no genius, i mean i study but no genius and last year my sophmore year i got a predicted 1480 on my SAT from the SSAT which is a boarding school test
you can do it with getting two or three books and reading them and doing the exercises
