Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
My friend stats:
UCLA-3.5
LSAT-175
Catholic school Math teacher (2 years)
SAT prep tutor for inner city children
Red Cross volunteer
A lot of community services at Uganda
Language- Swahili and English
Major-philosophy
Minor-math
She is from Uganda but lived in Sudan for a while until she was 10 then she came to America with her family.
What are her chances for her dream coming true to get into any of those law schools?
If she is African-American, then very good for Columbia, and also good for Harvard. As others have indicated, GPA is a little on the low side, particularly for her major (I think schools give students who majored in engineering or sciences a slight break).
The time she applies will have an effect. Her chances are much better if she applies by Thanksgiving or earlier.
According to one website, her LSAT score is at the 75% for Harvard, and close for Yale. Her GPA is a little low, but grades tend to be less important. Additionally, she has a great story to tell. There’s no reason (here) that she shouldn’t be able to get into a top 5 school.
If she is a black woman, her chances are good.
Probably pretty good.
Suggest that she contact the admission offices at both schools and ask for information and assistance.
