Hey I took the World History AP test about mid May and now I am signed up for the World History SAT II. The thing is I just started taking the test on the REA preparation book for SAT II and it is much much much harder and specific then what I encountered on the AP exam. Is the SAT subject test really more specific then the AP test?
Thanks for answering
to first poster, Yeah I know AP classes really are useless, like it doesn’t help only makes it easier to register for classes. But it sort of looks better for colleges along with a GPA boost.
to 2nd poster:……………………………..
to 3rd poster: Yeah like what the heck is the Velvet Revolution I learned nothing that specific and the AP test multiple choice was nothing like that. I didn’t even bother to score my 1st practice test because I did so badly and knew like crud. Hopefully it will be more AP oriented multiple choice.

Do you any good preparation book for SAT II subject test? Literature, US History and Math 2.
Should I do science? Biology or Chemistry?
What SAT Subject Test: Math II prep book would you say is the best? Thank you very much

My high school doesn’t offer physics until senior year, which is too late. Do you think with the help of a few books and/or a tutor, it would be possible to learn enough to get a good SAT score?
Sorry, just to clarify, I was talking about taking the physics SAT Subject Test
is the sat subject test in calculus required for UC colleges in California? I went to check out a sat prep school and the principle said it is required in order to get into the UC system. She told me I have to take one of her 00 classes in calculus in order to suceed on the test and get into a UC school. Is this true?
Is there any place online to find sample questions for the SAT German Subject Test?
i’ve been looking to buy a SAT subject test prep book but i can’t decide on which is the best one…i’ve had good recommendations for pretty much all of them, mostly barron’s and princeton review…
someone offer an opinion? which do you think is the best and why??
I am going to take the SAT test soon.
To prepare for it, I’m thinking to buy the "The Official SAT Study Guide (TM)" and enroll in its online course, "The Official SAT Online Course™" (both by Collegeboard)..
I’m just wondering - has anyone tried the book and is it a good prep book? Also, anyone tried the online course? Does the online course prepare you well for the test? Is it worth its price?
Or do I have to take like real Saturday classes in order to do well on SAT?
For SAT II subject test, I’m planning to take Math, but I have no idea whether to take Math I or Math II. Is Math II a lot harder than Math I? What’s a good book to prepare me for either?
I might also take Chemistry. Is SAT II for Chemistry hard? Any book recommendation?
Only serious inputs please.
Thank you and good day.
I want to take the SAT in the spring and want to get 3 or 4 books to study. I know for sure I’m getting the "Official SAT Study Guide" and I’m going to need the "Hot Words for the SAT" so I need opinions for which other book I should get. My GPA isn’t so strong so I need good SAT scores. Here’s my list:
-Official SAT Study Guide
-Hot Words for the SAT
-Cracking the SAT, by Princeton Review
-Barron’s SAT 2400:Aiming for the Perfect Score
-Barron’s Critical Reading Workbook for the SATs
-Cracking the SAT Math 1 & 2 Subject Tests
Anyone who’s taken the SAT, which book was most useful? and is it necessary to get SAT Subject Test books to study?
High there - I asked a question about SAT subject tests yesterday.
I have decided that I am going to take the SAT Subject Test for math level 2. I would like to know if anyone could recommend a text with which they have had success for preparing for this test. I have a Princeton Review book for Math Level 1 and 2, but I was thinking of something specifically geared for Level 2 that I could do to become more comfortable with those problems.
Thanks!
What about Kaplan or a company like that??
I’m taking the SAT and SAT subject test on november. I’m planning on buying the study guide, but will that book help me on both subject and regular sat?

I am planning on taking SAT Subject Tests in US History and Biology in October. As I was studying my prep books, I was wondering if I also used AP prep books for those classes, would they help? I really want to get a high scores on these tests. Are the AP prep books more in depths? I have never taken an AP exam before so I don’t know how thorough AP prep books are. Or should I just stick to studying only SAT Subject Test prep books?
My questions is not just using AP prep books but using both SAT II preps and AP preps.
The subject tests I applied for were Literature, Mathematics Level 1, and Mathematics Level 2.
Does anyone know of any good SAT Subject Test prep books for these subjects?
I will be taking the SAT Subject Test in CHemistry in June. I am not that confident as i feel my teacher isn’t helping us. I need to find a tutor for the SAT Subject Test for Chemistry. I have found a few but they are really expensive and i can’t afford that much. I need one near Syosset, NY. ANywhere in Long Island works.
Thanks for the help.
Which book should be the best for preparing for Math IIC SAT Subject Test? I was looking through Barron’s and it seems pretty difficult to understand, considering that I only took trig but not pre-cal. I am looking for a book that explains the concept step-by-step instead of cramming everything such as Barron’s. I just dont think that Barrons is the right book for me. I already bought the sparknotes version b/c i thought it covered the material that we only NEEDED to know. What other books are out there? Kaplan? Princeton?
Im studying for the SAT physics subject test to be taken in october and november. I’ve been using the princeton review however it is 386 pages long and im progressing too slowly. Is there a more concise study guide out there?
Also, is there a place i can download all of the formulas needed? Possibly on flash cards?
I need to know what the approximate highest score someone can get on the SAT subject test for biology leaving seven of the questions blank.
