PostHeaderIcon SAT Scores = SAT Prep Class?

Browse the site to learn more about psat prep course, gmat prep exam, act preparation classes, college board sats and more

Hi and welcome to my blog,

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!

I took PSAT my Sophomore year and got a 141 (1410 respectively). My Junior PSAT score was 162 (1620 respectively) while my 1st SAT test was a 1630.
***I did not study for any of them***

I want to apply at Georgetown however I know my SAT scores aren’t good enough.

Question: Is a SAT prep class worth the 0? Or should I just buy test prep books? My school does not offer an SAT class.

PostHeaderIcon How much can I improve on my SATs?

Hello. I’m currently a freshman and I took the SATs for the first time and got a 1680.
Math: 700
Reading: 500
Writing: 480
I currently have private SAT tutors and use special SAT guide books. How much can I improve by the end of my sophomore year? Any tips? (Aiming for 2000+)

PostHeaderIcon Taking SAT Subject World History on the earliest day?

As I’m preparing to move on to my sophomore year in high school, I am wondering if taking the SAT Subject Tests earliest as possible will look better than later test dates on a college application.

Instead of taking World History classes, I feel as if I want to commit my time into study and preparation for World History SAT Subject by using World History workbooks (such as Barron’s, Kaplan, etc)

To those who have taken the test: Was the test difficult? Did you take time preparing and studying? Do you recommend taking the World History class first and then the test later a better decision?

PostHeaderIcon Is there any correlation between SAT scores and LSAT? Through lots of prep, can I get a 170 on LSAT?

I got a 1280 on my SAT without any preparation at all…does it seem like I would be able to get a 170 on my LSAT with preparation courses, practice tests and lots of studying?

(I’m just entering my sophomore year of college this fall)

Is there even a correlation between SAT and LSAT???

Thanks

PostHeaderIcon how can i do as well on the sat as people who take a prep course?

i am a junior in high school, and all these people i know are taking sat prep courses. my parents don’t think i need one because i’ve always been a very good standardized test taker, i did very well on the psat sophomore year, and they’re a lot of money for something i can really do by myself. when people take a prep course what do they learn, how many practice tests do they take, what do they work on, etc? should i even bother to follow what a prep course would do if i just have a few trouble areas (the writing multiple choice and the harder math problems)?
