Browse the site to learn more about psat prep course, gmat prep exam, act preparation classes, college board sats and more

Hi and welcome to my blog,

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!

I’m a Junior and I haven’t taken the SATs yet. I’m taking them on June 7th which gives me 4 weeks to practice. I got a 186 on the PSATs without any studying so can anyone tell me how I can increase my projected score within the 4 weeks. And with moderate to intense studying – by how much can I increase my score?
btw I’m looking for a daily routine/schedule. Basically a SAT bootcamp haha.

PostHeaderIcon I need an SAT tutor for over the summer?

i already took the SATs and was content with CR (620) and Math scores (640), but my writing score was awful (500). I really would like a tutor this summer to boost that score at least 100 points, but my dream is for all of my scores to be 650+.
Does anyone know of any excellent tutors that are in or around NJ?

PostHeaderIcon College Assesment Test and SAT Preparation.?

Okay so I’m going to be going to a community college while still in high school. I have to take an assesment test. I need to know what most of the assessment test cover? I’m going to be going to west los angeles community college.
Also I’m going to be taking my SATs really soon, just in case I haven’t covered everything in my studying what should I study for the most?

PostHeaderIcon Kaplan SAT test prep class?

Is it worth it? I have a low SAT score and since I am going to be a senior this year my parents are willing to pat 00 for a class. I feel guilty but I honestly am the worst test taker :( If anyone has taken a course like this please tell me some experiences. I just want to do really good. By the way, I take the SATs in October.

PostHeaderIcon When should I take an SAT prep course? (read description)?

My school offers an SAT prep course at my school. I am in 11th grade and planning to take the SATs in Jan, March, and June. Should I take the course 1st or 2nd semester?

THANK YOU =)

PostHeaderIcon is an SAT prep course necessary for a high score?

i’m taking the SATs in december and was wondering if just studying multiple amounts of prep books on my own is okay. or would a prep class be good? i just don’t want to waste money on something that won’t really help.

PostHeaderIcon Where can i find on-line SAT programs that have practice questions?

I want to find an online program that can help me practice for the SATs. I want one that has practice problems similar to real ones on the SAT. Are there any like that?

PostHeaderIcon Which SAT prep book should i start with?

I am going to study for the SATs this summer, even though i’m only a sophmore this coming school year. my parents are forcing me to study my butt off.
i have narrowed down my SAT prep book choices down to two possiblities. one being The Princeton Review Carcking the SAT, and the other being The Official SAT Study Guide.
which would be best suited?

PostHeaderIcon How much discrepancy in SAT scores is accepted?

I got a 770 in Reading and a 800 in Writing on the SAT, but I got a 630 in Math. Should I be looking at retaking the SATs then, or should I stick with what I have? I’d be looking at universities like Rice University, Emory, etc. Do colleges look at individual scores or the cumulative?

PostHeaderIcon What is the major difference between the ACT and SAT reasoning test?

I didn’t do as well as I wanted to on my SAT test and I’ve heard that people that don’t do as well on the SATs do better on the ACTs and vice versa. I think I might take the ACT test this fall, but I first want to know what the difference is that makes people do better or worse on it. Thanks.

PostHeaderIcon SAT Questions?

Im going to be a senior when the new school year starts. On the SAT, I got:
1st: 1930 (570c, 760m, 600w)
2nd: 2160 (700c, 780m, 680w)

So here are my questions:

1. Should I retake the SAT? I know I already took it twice, but with some studying over the summer, I think I can score a little better.
2. If I take it again, would colleges average the 3 SATs since I took it three times. I’ve heard countless different things on how colleges look at SAT scores, and I am so confused. How would colleges look at my SATs if I retake or not retake?
3. Both times, I scored an 8 on the essay portion. For the people who scored higher than an 8, how do you write your essays?
4. Finally, for the SAT IIs, I have already taken the Korean test and got a 800 on it. I’m planning to take 2 or 3 more(math II, biology, and chemistry). Which ones should I take because I think I only need to take two more?
