Hi and welcome to my blog,

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!

I would like to take SAT prep classes in the summer (I’m currently a sophomore). Which program has the best results? For example: Princeton Review, Kaplan, Sylvan, a private tutoring place, etc?

PostHeaderIcon Which is the best SAT or ACT prep course?

I’m a junior and am completely lost with college and SAT stuff….I want to go into a really good college but my practice SAT scores aren’t looking so great(I took an ACT/SAT combo test with Kaplan and got 1875 SAT and 29 ACT)…which prep classes are best and why? Revolution,Kaplan, Princeton or anything else? Im aiming for 2200 and 33…but it really seems out of reach…

PostHeaderIcon When would you recommend taking the SAT’s?

I’m a junior in high school and on my PSAT i did ok, 1870 (without any preparation).
I’m debating weather or not i should take the SAT in June and Oct or just Oct.
I won’t be taking any prep classes before the June exam.
Would you recommend taking the SAT before taking classes?
Does it matter how many times you take it?

PostHeaderIcon SAT/ACT prep courses: Helpful? Waste of money? Necessary? What were your experiences?

My parents have been pressuring me to take an SAT prep course as well as an ACT prep course. I feel like they are too much money. I have bought prep books and have been taking practice tests. I was wondering what everyone’s experiences were with SAT prep classes.

Would just using books and studying a lot suffice? I need to save money

PostHeaderIcon Best SAT test prep service?

I’m in the Maryland area (west of Baltimore), and I now I am trying to prep for my SAT this year. Can someone tell me which program (local or national corporation) has the best/most comprehensive prep for the SAT? I have also heard that prep classes are wastes of time and that it is better to prepare alone, but I think that personal contact with a teacher that can personally help will benefit me for the better, but if someone can come up with evidence that this does not even help, please share.

And on a side note: How long do prep classes usually last to get effective amount of knowledge?

PostHeaderIcon Is it worth it to take an SAT prep class?

My school offers both math and verbal prep classes as electives for free, and I’m currently signed up for both going into my junior year. I have very good grades (ranging from 99-90) in honors classes but I’m afraid I won’t do well on my SAT’s. Do you think the classes will be able to improve my scores significantly? And are they really going to be worth my time?

PostHeaderIcon When should I start SAT Prep Classes?

I was thinking ninth or tenth grade, but some people are starting in eight grade! When do you think it is appropriate to start SAT Prep Classes? thanks everyone

PostHeaderIcon What are some excellent College/SAT PREP courses?

I am in my sophomore (10th grade) year in high school and I think it’s about time I took a SAT Prep class. I am planning on taking my PSAT the end of this year, but maybe I’ll take the PREP class next summer for more time. I live in California btw.

Do you have any recommendations for SAT Prep classes for getting into exceptional universities? I’ve heard of the Princeton Review and Catalyst but I’m not sure which ones are effective. Help please =(

PostHeaderIcon Which is the best SAT prep class to take?

Please let me know all the possible SAT prep classes I could possibly take. I feel like everyone’s just stuck between kaplan and princeton. Maybe there are other types of good courses that people aren’t really aware of.

But while you’re at it, please let me know which one you would BEST reccomend. Kaplan or princeton? & why?
Also, if it is possible, just tell me your scores after you took that course and (if applicable) what colleges you made it into.

Thanks!
