Hi and welcome to my blog,

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!

Why does my school buy high end computers just to use Microsoft Word and occasionally Internet Explorer? They always complain about not having any money after they buy this stuff for no reason… My old crappy laptop can run those programs just fine and it’s from 1999.
They also complain about not having money for books and paper. We have to supply our own paper FOR THEM.

PostHeaderIcon Dell Inspiron 600m Can’t Boot – Blue Screen – Failed DST Short Test – how to access recovery console?

Having problems booting my laptop, as soon as Windows logo screen finishes loading, I get a blue screen and instantly restarts…ran diagnostics, and it failed a dst short test…anyway, that’s a long story, but my CURRENT problem is that for some reason, I can’t seem to access the Recovery Console via CD, nor even boot with CD. It acts the same as if I had chosen to boot from HDD…I hit F12 and choose to boot from CD, but it still goes to "We apologize for the inconvenience…", etc etc, then still hits the blue screen and flashes and restarts.

I’m using an XP 3 disk from the Microsoft website, downloaded and burned myself (I tested it on another laptop and it loads fine, though I can’t tell if it boots fine since I have Vista on this one).

Am I missing a step or doing something wrong? What do I do?

PostHeaderIcon Are 1 GB laptops any good for a high school student?

I had a 4 GB laptop and now a 1 GB memory laptop seems pretty… err..

But I’m going to buy it. So is it slower than the average 2 GB memory laptop?

Considering I used to get on limewire, photoshop, Microsoft Word and other memory-using programs.

From those of you who have one or have had one before, help?
