Are Princeton Review SAT tutors worth the money/help me achieve my goal score?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
I took my SAT’s for the first time as a sophomore this december. My results were as follows; 570-Reading, 590-Math, 510-Writing 8-essay. My goal score is a 2100 for my last time. For this test I didn’t prepare at all so that I would have a baseline. Will a private tutor help me to rise my score? When should I get it in the middle of my junior year or this year? Are the tutors as helpful as everyone says as well?
What helped you improve your SAT scores the most?
taking the june SAT, but will probably get a tutor over summer and take the october one for the last time…any suggestions?
What is the BEST way to study for the SAT Subject Test in Literature? Is the Karlan prep book enough studying?
I’ve taken 3 subject tests, but I’m planning on taking them one more time on October 10. I’m now a senior, so it’s my last chance. These were my scores the last time:
Spanish 770
US History 690
Literature 420
I’ve been studying a lot for the SAT II Literature by using the Kaplan prep book. Also, I’m enrolled for AP English Literature so most of the stuff is sinking in b/c I have to study lots of literary devices (allusion, syntax, paradox, ode, etc.)
So do you think I’m studying effectively or what else can I do to study before October 10, 2009???
What is a good PSAT/SAT prep course that I can take in Dallas?
Does anyone know? I do well in school, but my SAT score is more or less average. I’ll be a sophomore next year, and last time I took it, I got a 1760/2400.
how reliable is a sat practice test score?
i just took the official sat practice test and got a 2140, which is the highest i’ve ever gotten so far. (last time i took was about two months ago and i got a 2020)… so does that mean my score will only go up?? will it ever go down? i feel pretty confident, because my reading and writing scores have been really consistent and my math score just went up 100 to 760… what do you guys think? how reliable are these prep tests?
also are ivy league schools within my reach provided that i have good ec’s, good gpa, essay, recommendation and a higher sat score, since i’m only a rising junior..
SAT prep?
I was wondering what’s the best type of SAT prep? The last time I took a SAT practice test I got about 1350/2400 so I need something that’s really going to help me bring up my score. My friend recommended Princeton Review courses but is it any good? Any recommendations?
