I hear Kaplan, Borran’s, and Princeton’s Review.
i dont read that much so i need a lot of help on vocabulary.
which book is the best nd most accurate for the SAT test?

I would like to take SAT prep classes in the summer (I’m currently a sophomore). Which program has the best results? For example: Princeton Review, Kaplan, Sylvan, a private tutoring place, etc?

Well, I’m going to be taking the SAT Subject Tests for Math Level 2 and Physics and I would like to know which prep book (for both subjects) out of these three is the best: Kaplan, Princeton Review and Barron’s. Can you please give me your opinions on each company’s prep book for each individual subject and/or your experiences using them?

Thanks!

What’s the best and most effective way to prepare for the SAT’s? I am planning on taking it three times to get really good scores, and I need a lot of help on the math section especially. If I decide to get a SAT tutor/program, who should I go to for that? What is the best SAT prep place? I live in Lawrenceville, Georgia, so anyone knw the best SAT prep places near there also?

thank you!
10 POINTS TO BEST/MOST HELPFUL ANSWER! :}
Also, is the Kaplan program for prep thing worth taking and are they very effective? What about Sylvan?

I have heard about Kaplan and Sylvan prep courses, but are there any other really good ones?

I have the Kaplan Premiere SAT book of 2010 and I have been taking practice tests out of it nonstop. I can’t seem to find out how to see what my grade would be if it were a real SAT. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I’m a junior and am completely lost with college and SAT stuff….I want to go into a really good college but my practice SAT scores aren’t looking so great(I took an ACT/SAT combo test with Kaplan and got 1875 SAT and 29 ACT)…which prep classes are best and why? Revolution,Kaplan, Princeton or anything else? Im aiming for 2200 and 33…but it really seems out of reach…

i wanna prep for the SATs but i dont know which would be better… the princeton review or kaplan?

What is the best SAT prep out there?
Princeton
Kaplan
Test Takers
or Revolution

oh and im better in math than english

i am debating between Kaplan Vs. Princeton Review Vs. Test Takers Prep.

Which one is overall better (Small Group Tutoring)?

Okay so I asked about Kaplan SAT Prep and everyone said no way!! ha but what about Princeton Review SAT Prep? I would go every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday for a month and take a mock SAT test 4 times. I would go for 3 hours each time except for the days I take the mock test. Its 0 and my parents are willing to pay but is it worth it? Thank you everyone for your input :))

What would be good enough to get into? Or at least have a chance?
Also, which would be the best SAT prep course?
Kaplan
Sylvan
Princeton Review

I live in Southern California, and have seen many different prep courses like Kaplan, Elite, Revolution, Princeton Review and am wondering which one of these or another program would be best? Also, what course should I take, private tutoring, classroom, small group? All of this is very confusing. Finance is also a problem because I have a twin and we both need to take a course. So please let me know what is best!
Thankyou!!!

i’ve heard that the East and West coast colleges look more at the SAT than the ACT. is that true?
i’m about to be a junior and i’ve taken the ACT once and got a 29, which i don’t think is bad for a first time. i wanna take it again once more and the SAT at least twice.
i’m debating what test to take Kaplan classes for and I’m not really sure.. any input? thanks (:

I’ve taken 3 subject tests, but I’m planning on taking them one more time on October 10. I’m now a senior, so it’s my last chance. These were my scores the last time:
Spanish 770
US History 690
Literature 420

I’ve been studying a lot for the SAT II Literature by using the Kaplan prep book. Also, I’m enrolled for AP English Literature so most of the stuff is sinking in b/c I have to study lots of literary devices (allusion, syntax, paradox, ode, etc.)

So do you think I’m studying effectively or what else can I do to study before October 10, 2009???

I decided not to go to SAT prep courses because I think I would learn more by studying straight from books myself. So I was wondering which books should I buy to study for the SAT? Should I buy from Kaplan, Princeton Review, College Board, or some other brand? If so, which specific books should I buy? Also, to study on the vocabulary, how should I study on them, using flash cards and where do I exactly buy them? Other things about studying for the SAT would be helpful too.

I know that Kaplan’s, Princeton, and College Board all have online SAT courses, but which one would you guys recommend? The cost of the class does not matter, so don’t worry about that. Just which one would help me raise my grade the highest?

at kaplan.

i’m gonna take math 2 and physics, but my biggest problem seems to be the timing, i could only finish half of the math test the first time i took it. which prep book will be the best for me to practice for subject tests?.

also, i did really bad in the critical reading section (410), compared to the other sections. i already have kaplan SAT reasoning prep book but i think i need another book that focuses on the critical reading section.

is the official SAT guide better or should i buy kaplan’s? or others?
oh, and should i but the study guide that has all the subjects in it? or is it better if i buy the study guide that has only physics, and math?
thank you!!

Is it Princeton Review, Gruber’s, Kaplan’s, Barron’s, RocketRevolution, etc…?

I took Honors Bio in 10th grade but I didn’t learn a thing. My teacher was horrible and did not even give notes. We learned the material by doing endless amounts of worksheets.

I’m currently thinking about taking the SAT Bio Ecology Exam because I’m in AP Environmental Science. However, I know very little about Bio besides ecology, and I need a way to learn the material, review, and prepare for the exam.
I’m probably going to buy several review books (Barron’s, Kaplan, Princeton Review). I’m also thinking about buying a used textbook to review.
What review book and what textbook do you guys recommend? (Textbook needs to cover all the material and be easy to understand and get through).
Any other recommendations for SAT Bio preparation?

Thanks a lot!

Does it really help? Should i take the Kaplan classroom course instead for 9?
