should i buy a laptop or a desktop for this school year?

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
I am going to be a senior this year in high school. I currently have a Toshiba laptop and it’s about three years old…still runs real nice for a well-worn computer, but it’s too behind the times for me. Basically, I want to get an updated, not TOO expensive computer (roughly around 0-650 is what I want to spend) that will play specifically The Sims 3. I’d also want it for normal stuff like holding word documents and photos and whatnot, but mainly I just like to use the internet at play the Sims. I am going to go to Best Buy…and I want to know, should I get a desktop, or a laptop? And what specific things should I look for?

For the price range you are looking you are best off to get a desktop because they are more powerful and will last you longer. Plus you can leave a desktop on for more hours for downloading, working on big projects or playing video games compared to a laptop in that price range. Most Laptops in that range are not well made and tend to have a lot of problems. I recommend you check out dells desktop. I put some links below.
What You Should Look for
3GB in Ram
Core 2 Duo processor
320 to 500 Gb in ram
get a newer laptop and use your current one like a desk top at home
