School laptop battery lasts 6 hours. mine only lasts an hour?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
at school i have a laptop and its an acer elitebook i thinkand the battery lasts 6 hours am i really confused because i ahve a laptop that i use at home (because school laptops are monitored 24/7) and its a toshiba satellite and the battery lasts only an hour (if that) is there any way i can play with the settings or anything to make it last longer?
i just bought my laptop 2 months ago and the battery life already went down from an hour and a half

If you want a longer battery life you have to change your laptop battery. I have a second hand laptop shop in Dhaka,Bangladesh and most of my customers come here with this problem. A new battery which I give warranty of 6 months will give them minimum 2 hours backup and maximum 3 to 3.5 hours.
Before changing battery make sure what type of battery your laptop has, is it 6 cell or 9 cell or 12 cell.
Ask the seller regarding warranty and gurantee of the new one and then go for final decision.

there to different laptops, which means different battery life but urs shouldnt last only 1hr maybe u should bring it to the shop and ask them if not got pc world or ur local pc/laptop shops and buy another charger for ur laptop to have longer time

click on your battery icon and change it to Power saver.. it won’t give you 6 hours but will give you a little more than you are getting now.
I have a toshiba satellite too. my daughter has an acer aspire one (net book) and her battery life is much better than mine.
EDIT just checked on mine and battery life on high performance (fully charged) is 1h 16 mins on power save it’s 1 hr 36 mins, so not a great deal of difference.
obviously the battery you get is not one of the better ones with these laptops
