Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
Well, I’m going to be taking the SAT Subject Tests for Math Level 2 and Physics and I would like to know which prep book (for both subjects) out of these three is the best: Kaplan, Princeton Review and Barron’s. Can you please give me your opinions on each company’s prep book for each individual subject and/or your experiences using them?
Thanks!
From my experience, Barron’s acts as if the test is harder than it really is. Princeton is just right. Kaplan doesn’t know what they are doing. I use Barron’s for all the AP courses I take, as well as the Subject Tests because I like to be more than prepared. It depends on your preferences.
Barron’s math 2, however, does place emphasis on certain topics that don’t often come up. Although the test has gotten harder in the past few years. There will be a question on standard deviation, complex plane, and conic sections. I used the Princeton for the Math 2, but my brother is using Barron’s for Math 2, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
I will recommend a website where you will get SAT preparation materials and free online test with SAT 1000 Question – Bank is especially designed to whet your skills for SAT. The goal of this question bank is to cut your chase and help you maximize your SAT score quickly and efficiently. Test takers will now also be able to track, analyze and compare their results with their past performance.
Hope this will be helpful for your…

Princeton Review was the best in my opinion. I would also buy the Official SAT II Subject Practice Tests through the College Board, the makers of the test. Princeton Review does a pretty good job with accurate practice tests, but nothing can beat the real thing. Get the College Board Official guide for whatever subject test you want to take, and it will have official, retired exams used from a few years back.
I would also recommend some tutoring. It can always help. I used these guys, and they were great. But I think they are only in Los Angeles, and I don’t know if you live here. Good Luck!! http://www.VantagePrep.com
