SAT Preparation Doubt?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
I’m not much familiar with the procedures of SAT. And, I’m not an American resident. So, I have this doubt.
@ Are Physics & Chemistry there for the exam ?
@ Or is it just Maths ?
@ Why the hell are they checking our language skills too much when we are looking for Engineering and pure science-oriented learning ?
P.S: I don’t believe that one needs to critically analyse Shakespearean poetry to become an engineer. Thats awkward.

Its been a while since I last took the SATs, but when I took the exam it took four hours to complete, and included Math and English. Science was not on the exam. Also, in addition to Math and English questions, you must also write an essay answering an essay question they give you. My advice is to by a SAT preparation book.

First of all, Look up the SAT on Collegeboard.com to become familiar with the type of sections they have and what type of questions they ask.
Second, it’s GREAT that you want to become an engineer. But as a undergraduate, you will STILL need to take English and Math classes, and all your general education classes WHILE you study for your major of engineering. So… just because you are going to college, doesn’t mean you’re never going to have to understand and comprehend literature.
Thirds, even as a scientist and an engineering, you will STILL have to do a lot of reading, writing and comprehending literature. You need to write about advancements/discoveries you make, and you need to be able to write coherently and concisely… and THEN be able to present that material. Also, you need read current advancements and articles in your field, so you can be kept up to date in the technology that is being introduced.
So…. Stop complaining, and remember you use ALL The skills you are required to learn. Just because you want to be involved in engineering and science, doesn’t mean that you never deal with english and writing ever again.
