Hi and welcome to my blog,

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!

What program is a REALLY great SAT PREP COURSE? Only answer if you’ve actually taken the course and highly recommend it. How did it help you increase your score?

I have many ways for SAT prep!!

1- iNeedaPencil.com A FREE SAT prep website that has a lot to offer and is just GREAT to spot ur EXACT points of weakness. It is really helpful!

2- Collegeboard.com, what everyone recommends.. it has a free copy of a practice test that would help you know what exactly you should improve

3- Download audios that focus on SAT words and vocabulary, listen to them many times

4- Read magazine and news articles and probably try scientific articles and more advanced texts to get used to what you might read on the SAT

5- Practice math questions concerning the topics you might face on the SAT. Ask for help understanding topics and fast-solving from your Math teacher in school.

6- Learn how to read fast. Again, this needs practice.

7- Try to go online and search in website that has famous quotes and practice writing a topic based on whether u agree or disagree with the quote/saying. Most SAT topics just bring quotes and ask you if you agree or disagree with that idea.

8- practice spotting grammar mistakes and do grammar exercises on grammar websites.. google them..

9- RELAX, try to have fun by using the fun ways to prepare!! and have a GOOD NIGHT SLEEP before the test!! last minute studying would probably do nothing but tire you

    The BEST books I recommend:
    - College Board’s book..
    - Barron’s Hot Words for the SAT (the words are organized in a way that will help you remember.. the similar meanings of words is how the author grouped the words, and there are some special tips for groups of words -the book is not an alphabetically ordered SAT dictionary)
    - I tried Barron’s SAT, but it’s too boring
    - Barron’s SAT 2400, it has more faith in you.. and it’s not as thick as Barron’s SAT.. but it doesn’t include practice tests.. it’s better than the other one though..

    GOOD LUCK!!

    This is the honest truth:

Those courses are WAYYY overrated. I can tell you how I earned my 2230 on the SAT.

Step 1. Buy the collegboard SAT review book (it has to be FROM collegeboard)
Step 2. Take one of the ten practice tests
Step 3. See what you missed, go back and study over what you missed (ie, proportions, vocab, etc)
Step 4: Take all of the other practice tests in real time, only giving yourself the actual time limit for each section.
Step 5. Get a good nights sleep and hit it hard on test day, you won’t regret it.

Ps. That was my first time taking it and I am 15 years old. Do this and you will do GREAT!!!

    Good luck
