Hi and welcome to my blog,

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!

I’m a junior and I need to know like the best prep book to use and if I should take a prep class or not and which class would be the best. Any other helpful information would be greatly appreciated.

Also how should I study for the SAT II subject tests. I haven’t taken any yet and I need to take like two or three. I want to go to UCLA or USC so is there certain subjects I should take. And one more thing. I think I can take the u.s. history test this year and physics next year, but im not sure what other subjects. and will colleges only see the scores that i want them too or all of them. oh and last year i did really good in world history and biology, but i was too late for the tests. now my memory has faded majorly, but should i try and refresh with a prep book and try and take those now.

i’ve gotten really tense about all this because it seems all my peers have already been preparing and what not. is this a really late time to be prepping and how much should i be studying a day. thanks!

All right, first, I’ll cover the SAT Reasoning Test:
Best book to get, hands down, is the Official College Board’s book. http://store.collegeboard.com/productdetail.do?Itemkey=007182
It’s available at Borders and Amazon, so you don’t have to buy it straight from collegeboard. The Best way to prepare for the SAT is to take the practice tests, and then STUDY each answer you got wrong. Really understand why you got the questions wrong. This really helps you improve. If you are really looking for a general guidebook, then get Princeton Review, but the CollegeBoard book is much more valuable.

    For Subject tests:
Most people take the Math II subject test, and the other 2 you choose don’t really matter. Best way to study is to simply get a review book and read it, and then take the practice tests. I recommend you take Math II, and any 2 subject tests that you have AP classes in, since these classes really prepare you for the tests.

And with the new score choice policy, colleges will only see the scores that you want to send, although some colleges (Stanford) are requiring people to send all their scores anyways.
    Good luck :)

so best SAT prep book is princeton review cracking the SAT
I used it, never took a prep class, and scored a 2030
good SAT subject test books are kaplan brand
all UCs require i think two or three I cant remember
I think the SAT is changing their policy that you only send the scores you want, but as of now they see them all
if you want to take last years test, definitely use the prep book
everything on the test (bio and world) are in the books
