Hi and welcome to my blog,

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!

If it takes 10 people working at the same rate 5 hours to pick 300apples, how many hours would it take 1 person to pick 300 apples.
the answers are either
(a) 25, (B) 50, (C) 100, (D) 200, or (E) 250. Please help. thankyou

    The answer is B, 50.

Here’s how to figure it out.

There are 300 apples picked in 5 hours, so you can say 60 apples are picked per hour. There are 10 people picking apples at the same rate, so if 60 apples are picked per hour, each person is picking 6 apples per hour.

So given that a person picks 6 apples an hour, it will take him 50 hours to pick 300 apples
