possible to raise sat scores?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
I’m a sophmore and took PSAT this year. I was soo disappointed by my score:137.
36 on critical reading
51 in math
50 in writing
I have 4.0 GPA right now
but I came to America when i was in 5th grade so my english skills need more work.
but when i took time and redid the same test, i got over twice as much right.
My goal is to get at least 1800 on SAT…. I’m going to get help from SAT tutoring center…
Do you think its possible???

Really, don’t worry about it.
I’m third in my class at a very competitive school and my sophmore year I got a 130 on it (with a 4. something GPA).
But I didn’t at all take it seriously because it didn’t count against me.
This year I took it, again didn’t at all care about what grade I got and I got a 154…yeah bad but it’s not the actual SAT.
See, ya know ur potential. If u got a lot more right while taking ur time ur good to go.
My advice: The center will help u so much. Also, I bought the offical SAT study guide and I’m starting to study from it (over 1000 pages). u should buy that too (only like 16 dollars @ Barnes and Noble).
It is definately possible. Just keep practicing maybe 20 min. a day and u’ll be good.
Oh, and just so ya know…take it towards the end of your junior year (like me)…if u do bad you can study more (learn from ur mistakes) and retake it the beginning of your senior year.
And since your an immigrant I would guess ur a minority…colleges like diversity so that increases ur chance into entrance.
