please help me choose a laptop for school and my music! ?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
so, im gonna buy a laptop soon, but i dont know what to get. so PLEASE help me out! =]
i need a laptop that i can use for school (starting college soon!) and for my music. i want the laptop to have a good amount of space so i can store my music (i have a 80gig ipod) and also at a good price (less than a ,000). i also dont want it to be heavy because ill be carrying it around for the whole day. ohyes, and im a Windows person.
i was thinking about getting a Sony Vaio, since my desktop is also a vaio. i want a good brand that can last for a LONG while. i heard Fujitsu is good because if you drop it, it wont destroy your hard drive and will still be usable because it is made from good hardware. but im open to any suggestions.
any and any modern decent configuration should work for you
> "ill be carrying it around for the whole day" >> so this is what you got to watchout for !

Trust me on this one, Hp. Hp has great quality computers and they last a long time, and the tech support with Hp is great. I’ve picked out a computer for you that would be perfect for college. It has 160 GBs of hard drive space 2 gigs of ram, and a great processer. Please dont get a dell, i know that some people are going to say that, but this computer is great for starting school. Light weight, fast, and great.

Don’t waste your time This is what you really want:
Sony VaioVGN-CR42S/P
…Yes, i am sure.
Well, I’ve been using a toshiba for almost 8 years as my laptop and it still works well, granted I got rid of it for something faster. Still in one piece, oddly enough. (I still have it, but use my desktop as my primary computer)
Here are 3 fairly nice laptops, 2 HP Pavilions and a Gateway.

I suggest you browse around some of the major sites, and look for a few key features.
At LEAST 2 GB of ram, min of 160+ GB Hard Drive, Core 2: 1.8 GHz or faster. Weight, battery life, and so on.
Sorry I can’ be more helpful, but there are so many good windows based laptops. The trick is just finding the most for your money.
