I think a personal tutor is defenitley beneficial if your bad at math. i find the math section to be tedious and hard to work at. i can’t give you a name of a tutor since i dont live in NY. but i know the price range is from $60-$165 an hour. if your REALLY aiming for a 2400, get a tutor. believe me its worth it. my friend pays $165 per 45 mins and got a 2230 out of 2400.

Honestly, a personal tutor is not always the best route to take. It can be just as beneficial/more beneficial to simply buy a decent SAT book (such as Barrons or Kaplan) and work at your own pace. I have friends who used personal tutors who complain that their scores were hardly afffected at all, and they shelled out huge amounts of money! (At least 45 dollars for a 1 hour session, which is outrageous in my opinion) By spending 20 dollars on a book, you have a better chance of improving your score.
