My XBox 360 cannot get a DNS through my router?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
My computer is connected to the internet through a USB modem with verizon wireless. I have a Linksys WRT54G router. My laptop is connected to the router as well as my host computer. Both my laptop and my computer are able to access the internet using ICS. The XBox however fails the DNS test everytime. (XBox is attempting to connect wirelessly) If my laptop is using ICS fine then why oh why does the XBox fail?

change the connection settings on the main menu of your xbox, if automatic doesn’t work, set the IP address. if you dont know you computers IP address find out using FAQ’s on the internet, and if you still can’t, then start from scratch. cause theres no reason why it shouldn’t unless your USB cord, or your xbox router is broken.
i had that same problem, google it and see what comes up… i think there is a setting in your router you need to change
