Hi and welcome to my blog,

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!

i bought a used laptop that belonged to a school. it is locked with a password. is there anyway i can overwrite the password myself without having to take it to a computer shop?

i’ve tried using "password" and not entering a password at all and it still doesn’t work. the computer is an hp compaq nc6000 and the operating system is windows xp professional.
it’s the password at the welcome screen

If you know how, of course you can. Without knowing what kind of password there is no way i can tell you how to remove it.

Have you tried "password" or not type in a password at all?

Otherwise you should just do a clean install of an OS.

You should start out fresh anyways.

is that a bios password you are talking about, or the operating system password.and it also depends on which operating system you are using.as a last bet you can format your harddrive and reinstall the operating system.
