Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
For any of you who have used the Kaplan SAT prep book series, please tell me if it helped you out a lot, and if you received a score of 2000+ on the SAT as a result of using it.
I used the book and felt it was a great help. I really liked the structure. However I ended up moving and not taking the SAT test (ACT was more used where I ended up) but I was accepted into a university with a high rejection rate. Remember that colleges look at a lot mroe than test scores. They want you to have it all these days.
Go with Barron’s if your deciding. Its got great vocabulary exercises, and the problems are harder than the actual SAT exams. For myself, my score improved from a 2100 to a 2290 after working with Barron’s
YES. I used that book and it improved my score by 300 points. I wouldn’t use Barron’s–they unnecessarily stress people out and their questions are sometimes very unrealistic.
Hope this helps.
