I took a Kaplan classroom course and it was horrible. If I had taken the SAT solely based on the prep they had given me, I would not have done that well. Use Princeton Review instead. They will have SAT Study guids and Preparatory materials. These materials cost about $100 dollars or so - for nice thick ones too. Then grab a dictionary, even a thesaurus if your enthused. Ask the clerk for these. :) The books teach the same thing in SAT classes. You just pay them a few hundred more bucks to guide you through a book, when you can do it all alone - thats if you have the will power to do so. I took my sats back in '99, and scored 1480!
