Hi and welcome to my blog,

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!

Does it really help? Should i take the Kaplan classroom course instead for 9?

Don’t take any Kaplan courses. I took a Kaplan classroom course and it was horrible. If I had taken the SAT solely based on the prep they had given me, I would not have done that well. Use Princeton Review instead.

I would take the classroom course, if anything it keeps you motivated and making sure you go to class…plus you have people to answer your questions

You can goto a Barnes&Nobles, or even Borders bookstores. They will have SAT Study guids and Preparatory materials. These materials cost about $100 dollars or so – for nice thick ones too.
Then grab a dictionary, even a thesaurus if your enthused. Ask the clerk for these. :)

The books teach the same thing in SAT classes. You just pay them a few hundred more bucks to guide you through a book, when you can do it all alone – thats if you have the will power to do so. I took my sats back in ’99, and scored 1480! It also took 3-4 hours a day for 5 weeks prior to testing.

    Oh, and Good luck.
