Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
i need a laptop that i could play sims on, do homework using microsoft word, excel and power point i also need it to have fast internet. And not to expensive i might have to buy it with my own money.
Even the least expensive computer will handle your homework. Office productivity software like Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) doesn’t require as much processor speed, RAM, or graphics horsepower as games. As for the software itself, I prefer OpenOffice. Its a free download. It does everything Microsoft can, and then some. You can save your work in Microsoft format so your teachers can read it.
Games are the real resource hogs because of their graphics requirements. For that purpose, you’re better off with a game console anyway.
Internet speed is a function of your connection and service provider, not your computer. Any new computer will be able to handle far more data than your internet connection can provide.
I bought one similar to the one linked below for my wife (a high school teacher). It handles OpenOffice and the internet just fine. I have no idea about games, because she plays her games on Wii and XBOX 360

Honestly you could get a could standing laptop that can play the sims 2 for about 600 since you have to buy it with you’re own money I would suggest not custom making it because straight out the box at bestbuy or someplace else might be good though everyone is suggesting dell I’d suggest Acer, or if you want HP. Acer’s laptop are cheaper than most and the good thing about them is that although theyre not the biggest brand you can find good savings on them. What I suggest you do is look at the specs for the sims 2 and any other high profile game you’d like to play and kinda compare it if you’re getting the laptop make sure you have a good dual core proccessor at least 1.8 if you can get a 2.0 so you’ll always be up to speed as you’re buying a laptop now it’ll probably come with vista so get a good 2 gigs of ram laptops now-a-days you can get about 3 gigs for the same price. Make sure to search up the chipset/graphics card on the laptop to see if it can play the game or just search the laptop itself if you can get those results.
Sony Vaio for you dear.

Well since you probably want something fast but not a "Kick Ass Gaming Rig" id go to Dell and custom make a laptop. My sister did this and was very pleased with the results. For fast make sure it has a good Processor and at least 2GB (gigabytes) of RAM. Any of the standard graphics cards should run Sims.
Best of luck
