I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.

when i ask ‘what too look for’ i mean as in gb, mb, just the basic size for my first laptop. i will only be using it for personal, emaill and shopping and school.

You’ll probably be using it for a couple of years.. So, don’t go for anything with less than 1G of RAM. 2G is better.
Independent video RAM will be better. It will be a bit quicker if you play games.
Hard disk size, 120G would be better. But depends on how much you’ll have on it. Lot of movies, songs, games? go for more capacity.
What ever you buy make shore you get the operating system software with it and a legal key. Or its just junk
buy a IBM T43 (Best laptop out there)
I’d recommend that it run MacOS 10.4 or later …
However, it will be more expensive because Macs hold their resale value longer.
However, it will be more reliable, faster (at least for the chip speed), more intuitive and less likely to have security problems.
