I use the Xbox wireless adapter but when I do a test connection it keeps saying that the IP address has failed

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
I have a Dell laptop if that helps. It worked before but when I brought it back from my friends house I couldn’t get it to connect back to Xbox live.

Did you link up the xbox with the media center? Also the addapter has a transfer rate vrs, +100 for direct cable. Can you reach a wired modem? have you got your network set right. Using cable you wont need all thihat network stuff
you might have to manualy input the information again…got to system then network settings….
I would call XBox cuz they know what to do most of the time, its 1800-4myxbox , theyre actually pretty good, cuz ive had to call them a couple times, but if i were you, not necessary but if you can go cable dont go wireless online, it lags
if you were using your friends wireless internet for live then you would have to go to you system slide then go down to network settings, the edit settings and then select wireless mode the it will search for an access point then select yours. if you have a wep or wpa encryption just put in the code and bam. xbox live. enjoy
