I took a practice SAT and got a 2040 but I want to get like a 2300+. Should I go to a test prep class?
Math-690
Verbal-670
Writing-680
The princeton review is offering a 14 week course for like 0 and I’m wondering if I should take it. It’s about 60 dollars per each 3 hour class. Should I take it or should I just study at home? I didn’t really study much when I took the practice test.

I absolutely do not recommend a prep class for you. Prep classes are designed for kids who need to get their score up from like a 1500 to a 1800.
You, however, are aiming for a perfect score. Going to a class designed for the AVERAGE SAT taker will not help you. Just to let you know now, a score in the 2300 requires not only work but also LUCK. A 2200+ is more reasonable so don’t feel too bad if you can’t make a 2300+.
For you, I recommend reading prep books yourself and doing a lot of vocab work and practice.
Best of Luck.
Test prep courses at legitimate companies like PR and Kaplan are really the BEST way to improve your score. They will teach you, not only the math/vocab you need to know for the test, but, more importantly, specific methods to use on every question on the test. They will make your work more focused, more accurate, and faster. I strongly recommend a test prep course if you/your family can afford it. With a book, you can’t get answers if you have questions, you don’t get a clear, structured approach, and you don’t get as many practice materials.
I’m pretty sure the prep courses will just talk about test-taking techniques and make you take more practice exams.
Skip the expensive waste of time and buy a review book.
Honestly, who studies for the SAT anyways? lol
