Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
I got a 1590 on the practice SAT I took at my tutoring place.
Critical Reading: 480
Math: 520
Writing: 590
I was really disappointed at my score because I was hoping for at least a 1700. How can I raise my score to be in the 1700′s-1800? Especially, in the critical reading and math sections.
Critical Reading: Read everything very carefully and do not imply anything! Read questions before hand and search for answers as you read. Answer ONLY what the question asks. Study vocabulary too. Read frequently for fun too, it’ll help your comprehension.
Math: As much as I hate advocating this, the Math sections tend to recycle the same questions with different numbers/slightly different methods, so just re-do practice exams. Of course, the best way is to just be good at Math..
Writing: Every essay is graded within like a minute, so they basically use a formula for it. Include a personal example. Have a thesis. Include a historical example. Have a clear intro and conclusion. Try to demonstrate higher vocabulary. They allow some level of incohernet writing because they know you’re rushing. Also, make it over a page and a half. Study your basic subject-verb agreement and grammar rules, and try to do practice on those.
Personally, I had trouble in critical reading, and followed the "don’t imply anything" advice and got a 760 in it, and in writing, where I followed the essay formula. Overall this comes from a guy with a 2230 after two times taking it, so at least you know I’m not spewing crap. Good luck.

SAT prep classes and doing some practice SAT exams will help. You cannot really study for this exam b/c there is too much subject material so you need to familiarize yourself with the test writing philosophy and test taking skills.
Go to a tutorial class. It definitely helps. It can raise your score at least 100 or more points.
Discuss this with your tutoring group and they may be able to help you structure a set study plan so you can work on increasing your scoring!!
You take it again, study show that people do better the second time around.
you should try to study up on the things your already good at. if you do that. the things that your not so good at will not seem as bad
