How shall I prepare for the SAT?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
I’m a soph in highschool who just took the PSATs. I’m waiting for my results now. I hardly prepared, since it’s really just a practice test of a practice test.
I took the practice test at home the night before and that too, only the math part (my weakest subject). I’m not sure if I’m a motivated, studious type. I don’t think I am, unless I’m truly interested in the subject. (History, for example, is something I study for -at least 2 hours- because I adore history. Math I study for -at most 2 hours- because i’m not so fond of operations and logical things. I’m into less predictable things.) I’ve looked at the questions people have asked before about SAT preparation and am disappointed. The answers are SO varying. Princeton Review or Kaplan? Study on your on or in classes/tutoring? Barrons’ books or Collegeboard? Every time i think i know which way is better, based on answers, i find contradiction.
So, based on the information I’ve given you, what do you think is best for me? What kind of Review should I try first? How should I invest in my future?!?!
You need to talk to a teacher at your school who knows you pretty well, telling him/her everything you wrote here. You should figure out what your goal for higher education is, as different colleges require different SAT results, some higher than others. The teacher or guidance counselor cn advise you better than a stranger, but you sound like person who might do better in a SAT prep class than studying on your own. And, of course, keep your grades up.
Best of luck.
