How do I know these SAT prep courses aren’t “fixed”?

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
they guarantee up to 200 point improvement with their course..how do you know if their practice tests are as "true" to the actual SAT test?
Is there a standard for these companies?

Well, the truth is that you don’t know. I am well aware that the Kaplan diagnostic test they’ll give you for free is much more difficult than the real test (often with 200 points difference). That’s why I really don’t recommend shelling out for a course with one of the big prep companies. You’re MUCH better off working with a tutor, or a smaller prep company that uses the College Board blue book as part of it’s materials. That way you KNOW you’re working with real SATs and real SAT problems (not to mention that tutoring is often much cheaper than a Kaplan course). Best of luck to you.
