How do i fix the ip address problem when i use a laptop with xbox live?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
When i test connection it said something about an ip address. How do i fix this problem?

Follow these steps to get your IP address:
1. Click on "start" in the bottom left of your screen
2. Click on "run"
3. Type "cmd"
4. Type "ipconfig/all"
5. Copy down your ip address and manually enter it in your xbox live connection settings.
